Daegun is the CEO of UBASE, the biggest and fastest growing BPO company in Korea. It has 90+ major Korean and Global clients, providing a range of services extending from CS operation and Analytic reporting to a nation-wide field/sales force operation.
At UBASE, he is responsible for leading and expanding the business in Korea and across Asia. Since he joined in 2006, UBASE’s revenue has increased four times to USD 300 million in 2017. UBASE is well positioned for its excellence in operation and now is expanding into new businesses not only in technology enabled analytics services but also in regional services covering both Chinese and Japanese.
Daegun has nearly 12 years of experience working in the BPO industry. He had leveraged his extensive experience on business consulting to create a new value proposition to clients that delivers business solutions with a holistic view of problem solving.
Prior to UBASE, he has been working for global consulting firms like Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Andersen Consulting. Covering many industries, he has worked with major global companies like Samsung Electronics, Intel, and many others for various business projects ranging from strategy development, process engineering, and to CRM/ERP implementation.
Recognizing his contribution to the BPO industry and for the creation of employment, he was decorated the Bronze Medal of Industry Prize from the President’s Office in 2016.
Daegun has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Creighton University with Summa Cum Laude and a Master of Business Administration from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with the Academic Excellence Award.
